adidas Originals continues to create crazy silhouettes utilizing the patented combination of Primeknit and Boost, and their latest creation, the adidas NMD City Sock, is something straight out of Beetlejuice’s closet. The white and black piping throughout the mid-top silhouette creates a jarring display of a Primeknit pattern while the heel features ‘The Three Stripes’ branding in a number of different languages. The NMD City Sock will release in Europe and Asia on March 17th and will then arrive in the U.S. this coming May. Adidas To Release A White Version Of The OG NMD R1 Primeknit

Released in limited quantities that disappeared immediately, the “OG” adidas NMD Runner that released late last December has become the most coveted version of the sleek new adidas silhouette so far. If you haven’t been able to get your hands on a pair of the black, white, red, and blue colorway, your next best option is coming soon. The original look is replicated on this upcoming version, featuring the same red and blue midsole inserts but with an all-white upper replacing the tonal black of the initial NMD release. Take a full look here, and expect the NMD R1 Primeknit in white at select adidas Originals retailers in May.

Adidas Puts The Final Nail In The Coffin On 2016 With Debut Of NMD (Adidas NMD)

adidas Originals dominated 2016. Regardless of what the sales numbers say in comparison to Nike and Under Armour, this year marked a noticeable breakthrough for the three stripes’ lifestyle imprint. They delivered with a number of coveted must-haves ranging from the adidas Yeezy line, the adidas Ultra Boost, Yohji Yamamoto’s adidas Y-3 imprint, and much more. Now the brand is finishing strong at year’s end with the introduction of the adidas NMD – another “slip-on” style shoe with a Primkenit woven upper that sees a new Boost construction on the outsole with aesthetic inspirations that span the Micro Pacer, Rising Star, and Boston Super in an effort to connect with and inspire the city nomad. After a massive unveiling event this past Wednesday in New York City, adidas has dominated headlines throughout the year with new styles that have struck a chord with retailers, and 2016 only aims to get better with the expansion of the Ultra Boost line, Futurecraft, and of course, more Yeezy Boosts. Pairs of the adidas NMD R1 will arrive at retailers on December 12th for $170 and at select retailers worldwide tomorrow.

adidas Releasing Two Key NMD Runners Tomorrow

The adidas NMD has been a dominant force in adidas Originals’ lineup throughout 2016, and this weekend the three stripes continues to bring the heat with two more monochromatic, understated Boost x Primeknit offerings. The adidas NMD_R1 “White” is sure to be one of the best releases of the weekend for its white on white approach as a combination mesh woven construction rests atop one of the most comfortable cushion systems in the industry. And if you’re worried that you’d get that crisp pair a bit too dirty too fast, adidas is also offering an all black upper (unfortunately, there’s none of that new black Boost available for this pair just yet). When we first showed you this appealing new look for the hotter-than-hot adidas NMD earlier this month, we reported that they’d be releasing in Europe on February 20th. It looks like that will also be the date of their Stateside drop, as adidas Originals retailers in the USA like Packer Shoes have them ready to drop on the 20th, as well. The stripeless version of the NMD lets the unique camo pattern on the yellow, black, and white Primeknit upper speak for itself, creating what should end up being one of the most sought-after versions of the shoe all year. Adidas Originals Follows up the NMD With the NMD R1 Primeknit

adidas Originals dropped the NMD silhouette late last year to much acclaim, but we’ve hardly had a chance to wear our pair in and the German sportswear giant is already prepping a followup: the NMD_R1 Primeknit.
Blending the design of the NMD Runner with the most advanced elements in adidas’s arsenal, the NMD_R1 is constructed from a lightweight Primeknit textile upper in an “allover noise” graphic with welded tape structural overlays. Rounding the design off are tonal three-stripes that sit atop the trainer’s distinctive midsole with EVA inserts.
The release date is set for January 30. There’s no info on pricing as yet, but keep your eyes focused in on your local adidas store.

adidas Originals Unveils Another SS16 NMD City Sock Colorway

Just days ago we got a look at the new NMD City Sock model from adidas. Set to debut for Spring/Summer 2016, here we see yet another colorway of the new adi silhouette.
The shoe is the updated, mid-top version of the ever-popular NMD. The brand’s Primeknit technology has been utilized on the upper, as the laces have then been stripped from the sneaker. The knit, elastic collar ensures the shoe will fit securely around your ankle, while a full-length Boost midsole will provide your feet with added cushioning and comfort.

This particular SS16 release features a black and white look on the upper, with a white sole unit underneath. As for now, no release date has been revealed for the pair, but be sure to check back with us for more info.
